23 January 2012 New Yearbook for Phenomenology and Phenomenological Philosophy moves to Equinox Equinox Publishing and Noesis Press, Inc. are pleased to announce the transfer of The New Yearbook for Phenomenology and Phenomenological Philosophy which Equinox will take over beginning with Volume 11 (2011). The annual publication, edited by Burt Hopkins (Seattle University and John Drummond (Fordham University) will appear in print and online.
18 May 2011 The Eckhart Society journal moves to Equinox Medieval Mystical Theology, published as the Eckhart Review (ISSN 0969-3661) since 1992, is the new name of the peer-reviewed journal of The Eckhart Society. The journal’s change of title reflects a broadening of its editorial remit. The first issue under the new title will appear in 2011, but from 2012 the journal will increase to two issues per year. 06 January 2011 Outstanding Academic Title What the Buddha Thought, by Richard Gombrich has been named as an Outstanding Academic Title for 2010 by the academic review journal Choice, a publication of the American Library Association. Choice reviews more than 7,000 new titles per year from over 25,000 new titles that are submitted during the same period. Only 9% of the titles that are reviewed receive this special recognition.
12 December 2010 2010 ASOR Award Equinox book wins the 2010 G. Ernest Wright Publication Award Aharon Sasson's book Animal Husbandry in Ancient Israel (Equinox, 2010) has won the 2010 G. Ernest Wright Publication Award from the American Schools of Oriental Research. This award, given for original research, recognizes the most substantial volume(s) dealing with archaeological material, excavation reports and material culture from the ancient Near East and eastern Mediterranean.
02 February 2010 Critical Horizons moves to Equinox for 2010 Critical Horizons: A Journal of Philosophy and Social Theory, formerly published by Acumen Publishing, has moved to Equinox for 2010. Now in its 11th year, the journal has published the work of Etienne Balibar, Andrew Bowie, Fred Dallmayr, Manfred Frank, Agnes Heller, Dieter Henrich, Axel Honneth, Martin Jay, Richard Kearney, Alphonso Lingis, Paul Patton, Jacques Rancière, Emmanuel Renault, and Richard Rorty. It is published three times a year. The next issue is due out in April.
