Equinox Archaeology Book Wins Book Prize
IRENE LEVI-SALA PRIZE FOR BOOKS IN THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF ISRAEL 2008
Avraham Faust's Israel's Ethnogenesis – Settlement, Expansion and Resistance has won in the 'semi-popular' category of books published on the archaeology of Israel in the IRENE LEVI-SALA PRIZE FOR BOOKS IN THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF ISRAEL 2008

This prestigious book prize award is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Irene Levi-Sala, London, a gifted archaeologist who maintained a keen interest in the culture and archaeology of Israel. The purpose of the prize is to encourage and reward high quality publications, both scholarly and popular, on the archaeology of Israel in the wider context of Near Eastern history and archaeology.

Equinox to publish on behalf of the Contact Pastoral Trust
The Contact Pastoral Trust has moved its journal and monograph publications to Equinox
From 2008, Equinox will take over publication of the Contact Pastoral Trust's journal. Formerly known as Contact, the journal's new title will be Practical Theology. See the journal's home on this site for more details.

Announcing Writing & Pedagogy -- a new journal from Equinox
Equinox launches new journal and related book series.
This new journal, edited by Martha Pennington (Georgia Southern University) is being launched in 2008 along with a related monograph series. See the journal's pages on this site for more details. The first issue will appear in Spring 2009 along with the first book in the monograph series, Frameworks for Writing.

Equinox Publishing Ltd. is pleased to annouce that from January 2, 2008, order processing, customer service and credit control functions for Books will be transferred to Marston Book Services Ltd. All Journal operations remain with Turpin Distribution Ltd. Southover books will transfer to Marston in February 2008.

Please send your orders to Marston Book Services Ltd.,Trade Department.

Teleordering
All the necessary arrangements will be made for transferring teleorders; please order in the usual way.

Credit Control
All invoices prior to 2 January 2008 should be paid to Turpin Distribution in the normal way; thereafter your existing MBS account will be used.

Returns
Returns should be sent to Turpin Distribution until 28 March 2008. Thereafter, please send to Marston Book Services, 160 Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxon OX14 4SD (only authorized returns will be accepted).

The Bible and Radiocarbon Dating has won best scholarly book award for 2007
The Bible and Radiocarbon Dating has won best scholarly book award (for books published in 2005/06) from the Biblical Archaeology Society.

Equinox Acquires Southover Press
Equinox has acquired the specialist cookery book publisher Southover Press
Southover Press, the specialist cookery and history of food publisher based in Lewes, has been acquired by Equinox. Ann Bagnall, who founded Southover twenty years ago, will continue as series editor and the list will be expanded. Distribution remains with Central Books until January 1 2007 when it will move to Marston Books.

The list includes classics such as Eliza Acton's Modern Cookery for Private Families and the full facsimile of the (first) 1861 edition of Beeton's Book of Household Management.
