Elephantis was also known as Elephantine. She was the author of erotica popular at the end of the first century BC. Martial suggests that she wrote some sort of licentious sex manual in verse (12.43.4)1, and according to Suetonius, the emperor Tiberius was a fan of her work (Tiberius 43.2).
