Abstract |
The articulation of vowels within the vowel area is described in this chapter. Methods of classifying vowels are introduced, including articulatory labels and the cardinal vowel system. Types of monophthong and diphthong are illustrated in normal and disordered speech. Phonetic symbols for vowels are introduced. |
