Abstract |
In this final chapter an introduction is provided to the area of speech and language research termed here models of speech production and perception. The distinction between serial processing models (such as those of Levelt and colleagues) and parallel processing models (such as those of Dell and colleagues) is demonstrated. The ability of these models to account for different aspects of disordered speech is illustrated. |
