Description Abstract The scrutiny of archaeological contexts suggests that there is substantial evidence that votive offerings in sanctuaries are generally composed by recurrent, somehow “codified” sets of symbolic objects. The analysis in this chapter attempts to relate symbols, in the form of ritually deposed objects and paraphernalia, to their wielders.
