Description |
Abstract |
In Chapter 10 André Droogers shows that when the study of religion is transformed into worldview studies, new challenges and opportunities present themselves. As soon as the distance we keep with regard to the adherents we study diminishes, and moreover our knowledge is found to emerge in our encounter with them, we will inevitably also take part in their worries, since having provided an important impetus. In reaction to these processes, brand new worldview identities have emerged and old identities had to be adapted to new circumstances. The range and variety of worldviews has increased significantly. |
