Archaeologists talk a lot about tells. What are they? Tells are mounds found all over the Middle East, which are composed of layers of remains from ancient cities that were built, destroyed, and rebuilt repeatedly on the same location. The history of archaeology started on tells learning how to get the most information from the layers of past. |
