6. Description Abstract Both the fan-club and its quarterly magazine Mark’s Times closed after a dispute between Murphy and the club’s secretary Bert Warner. Murphy began recording for the HighNote label, operated by former Muse boss Joe Fields. In Germany he was approached by trumpet-player Till Bronner to record an album of ballads – Once to Every Heart – followed by Love is What Stays, both released by Verve.
