6. Description Abstract Syrian citizens flee the growing conflict between the government and the opposition. Between 2011 and 2019, more than five million Syrian refugees have crossed the borders of neighboring Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey and beyond, or have fled inland to cities less affected by the conflict. Characters reflect on the Syrian crisis from their perspective as refugees or interacting with others who are displaced.
