Description |
Abstract |
A person-centered care approach assures the dignity and quality of life for the individual with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. The caregiver should always validate the individual’s feelings, concerns and frustrations, showing understanding and reassurance in the process. Recognizing the individual behind the disease first, and using the person-centered practices can redirect and calm periods of agitation and aggression in affected individuals. |
