Description Abstract Dora Bright reaches the first high point in her career as a composer, as she becomes the first woman to be asked to compose and play her own work by the London Philharmonic Society. In the same year she married and became a part of the English landed gentry, although unlike many women, marriage did not prevent her from continuing her career as a performer and composer.
