6. Description Abstract The Indonesian religious landscape has been long identified as an instance of super-diversity “from within”. The chapter investigates how recent social-economic patterns and religious revivals have further complexified this picture. It follows the reformulation of a Javanese ancestorial ritual as a platform for religious coexistence, in a super-diversifying countryside.
