6. Description Abstract Jeremiah, the longest book in the Hebrew Bible, is also the one that devotes the most space to the figure of the prophet. It is bound up with the events that led to the end of the kingdom of Judah, but the major differences between the Hebrew and Greek text indicate that the Jeremiah scroll was still evolving in the last centuries of the common era.
