Description

The chapter presents the "Black Arts Movement" and the turbulence of the late 1960s in America. Lee Morgan describes Europe as the artists’ ideal, in this way not only criticising ‘white’ America’s treatment of black artists, but also the members of his own culture who failed to recognise and support their own.
