This chapter presents the revival of ethnolinguistics, offering an explanation for the term, as well as discussing various dilemmas of Slavic ethnolinguistics. It further presents the basic concepts of cognitive ethnolinguistics, which are interlinked with one another and together constitute a coherent conception.
