This chapter analyses the translation of the short treatise known as the Shūjishō 執持抄 is a compilation by Kakunyo of Shinran’s sayings on Shin teaching. In the title, shūji has the literal meaning of “steadily holding to” or “holding on” while shō means “treatise.”
