A.J. Droge [+-]
A. J. Droge is the translator of The Qur’an: A New Annotated Translation (Equinox, 2013), and the author of Homer or Moses? Early Christian Interpretations of the History of Culture and A Noble Death: Suicide and Martyrdom among Christians and Jews in Antiquity (with J.D. Tabor).

Description

The following selective bibliography focuses exclusively on the Qur’ān, rather than including works about Muḥammad and the origins and early history of Islam. It has been compiled to reflect a spectrum of critical viewpoints and approaches, ranging from ‘traditionalist’ to ‘revisionist.’ Aside from a few notable exceptions, it is limited to recent works in English, and to books rather than articles in journals, encyclopedias, and essay collections (though references to the latter are included).
