Description

Memory studies are a relatively new approach to biblical texts that investigates the memories groups share for their social maintenance and continuity. When people read a text that teaches them about their own past, they encounter their heroes, villains, and missed opportunities. In all these cases, they learn to “hear” what these characters say and how they talk to each other and their inner thoughts.
