Barbara R. Ambros is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research on Japanese and East Asian religions focuses on gender studies, human-animal relationships, and place and space.

Randall Styers teaches Religion and Culture in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
