Cynthia Shafer-Elliott serves as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Associate Professor of Hebrew Bible & Archaeology at Jessup University. Dr. Shafer-Elliott specializes in the historical, cultural, and archaeological contexts of ancient Israel. She is an experienced field archaeologist and is currently part of the archaeological excavation team at Tell Halif, Israel.

Description

The examination of gender in the archaeological record is known as “Gender Archaeology” and has become a useful tool in the archaeological tool kit.
