Description

Panel A illustrates three different disciplinary approaches to studying cultural production and change over time where the focus of investigation is a particular geographical location or place, in this case Tall Hisban in Jordan and Palmyra in Syria. In so doing, the panel offers examples of possible ways that many of the theoretical constructs introduced in Part I can be adopted as a means to interpreting archaeological and historical data of particular places.
